While firmly rooted in the Maison’s professional diving heritage and unmatched legacy in professional diving timepieces, the new Fifty Fathoms Tech emerges as a thoroughly modern expression of Blancpain’s most famous collection, blending technicity with a new, unexpected dose of style.

Originally conceived as a serious tool watch and diving instrument, the Fifty Fathoms has long been the choice of professional divers, explorers, and underwater photographers. The Tech variant, housed in Grade 23 brushed titanium, embodies that legacy with a bold 45 mm case diameter, a helium escape valve, and a unidirectional  120-click ceramic bezel optimized for use with gloved hands.

Its absolute black dial absorbs up to 97% of light – an impressive feat ensuring maximum legibility in murky depths or low-light conditions, while creating a striking  contrast with the luminescent block-shaped appliques.

Yet Blancpain’s latest chapter writes a new narrative: the tool watch is going lifestyle. In a significant update for 2025, the Fifty Fathoms Tech introduces a fully  interchangeable strap system, empowering wearers to switch styles in seconds, no tools required. Additionally, Blancpain offers straps in multiple lengths, a crucial detail for divers who may wear the watch over a wetsuit, while also making it perfect for everyday wear on a bare wrist.

Color, too, is making waves. Beyond classic black rubber, Blancpain is releasing two new summer-ready hues: a crisp white and a vibrant orange. The latter isn’t just an  aesthetic flourish; it matches theTech’s orange central seconds hand and TECH inscription on the dial, proving that even the most serious diving instruments can embrace personality and fun.

Of course, the Fifty Fathoms Tech retains its mechanical credentials.

Powering the watch is the automatic calibre 1315A, a 4 Hz movement widely respected among collectors for its robust 120-hour power reserve, precision timekeeping, and beautifully finished architecture.

The sapphire case-back offers a view of the movement’s decorations, underscoring Blancpain’s dedication to Haute Horlogerie even in the Maison’s most utilitarian  creations.

The 38 mm case isn’t a size reduction, it’s a complete rework with redesigned and balanced, harmonious proportions.

Two new references debut, neither are limited editions: smoky black dégradé in 18 ct red gold, and petal pink dégradé in brushed titanium. Both models feature mother-of- pearl dials with subtly graduated black and pink coloring.

Blancpain is making a significant move with the Fifty Fathoms line by introducing, for the first time, a 38 mm case size. This is no mere size reduction, Blancpain has  thoughtfully redesigned the watch’s proportions to create a balanced, harmonious silhouette. The 38 mm addition completes the Fifty Fathoms family, offering options for  every wrist and paving the way for future models in this size.

Powerfully Black, Playfully Pink Mother-of-pearl’s iridescence, a luminous treasure from the sea, takes center stage in these striking new models.
The black dial, with its mesmerizing dégradé effect, is paired with a polished 18 ct red gold case that gleams like fine jewelry on the wrist.

Complemented by a sophisticated yet comfortable tropic rubber strap, the smoky black dial and rich gold combine in an irresistible blend, perfect for making a statement  from day to night.

The pink model radiates youthful energy. Its radiant petal mother-of-pearl dial is framed by a brushed titanium case with a subtle greyish tone, harmonizing beautifully with the luminescent pink bezel. The Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe
The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms made its debut in 1953 as the first true diver’s watch, designed as a tool for professional divers. Its daily-wear counterpart, the Bathyscaphe, followed in 1956, offering a more refined format with a  reduced diameter for everyday use while still providing the capability to explore the seabed.

The production of the beautifully finished red gold bracelet involves a series of demanding assembly and finishing processes. The hand satin-brushed links are joined together by means of transverse pins, endowing them with  a flexibility that ensures a perfect fit on the wrist. Based on a patented system, the screws are placed on the back of the links to preserve the smooth look and feel of the bracelet edges.
