With Alpine Eagle, Chopard has created a contemporary sporty-chic collection featuring pure design and sophisticated mechanics. The collection welcomes a new Alpine Eagle Frozen model measuring 33 millimetres in diameter and combining the Manufacture’s watchmaking expertise with its mastery of jewellery crafts. Inspired by the beauty of Nature, this sparkling model evokes the fine frost flakes covering glaciers: the case, bezel, dial and integrated bracelet in ethical 18-carat gold are set with diamonds. Making no compromises in terms of technical expertise, it is equipped with the Chopard 09.01-C self-winding movement ensuring a 42-hour power reserve.
Chopard enriches its Alpine Eagle Frozen collection with a new case size designed for the slimmest wrists. In addition to the 36 and 41 mm-diameter models, this new watch adopts a 33 mm case, while retaining the collection’s signature finely balanced proportions and contemporary allure.
Diamonds set by the artisans of the Manufacture
The Alpine Eagle 33 Frozen timepiece reveals its majesty through a profusion of precious stones highlighting the art of gemsetting cultivated by the Maison’s artisans from generation to generation. They have patiently paved the entire dial – as well as the crown guards and each bracelet link – with hundreds of diamonds. The collection’s distinctive bezel with its eight indexed screws is also embellished with baguette-cut diamonds.
Through the sparkle of these precious stones, Chopard confirms the collection’s profound inspiration drawn from Nature, celebrated as the greatest architect, with diamonds evoking immaculate glaciers and the luminous beauty of the stars shining down upon them.
A Chopard self-winding movement
Whether in the city or the mountains, the Alpine Eagle Frozen timepiece can count on the reliability of a self-winding movement visible through the exhibition case-back. Chopard Calibre 09.01-C is crafted by the Maison’s artisans from 159 components. It is subject to strict specifications, guaranteeing a 42-hour power reserve and excellent reliability.
Alpine Eagle: reinterpreting an icon
Developed by three generations of gentlemen in the Scheufele family, the Alpine Eagle collection is a modern reinterpretation of the St. Moritz watch, the first horological creation designed by Chopard’s now Co-President, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, in the late 1970s. With its pure, assertive design, Alpine Eagle enriches this heritage with powerful inspiration drawn from Nature. A round case with raised stylised flanks, a crown engraved with a compass rose, a bezel with eight functional indexed screws: Alpine Eagle is a token of refined and resolutely contemporary elegance.
