LVMH Watch Week, Miami – January 29, 2024: TAG Heuer, renowned for its innovation and commitment to excellence, has introduced a transformative initiative to integrate its iconic mechanical universes into the realm of connected timepieces with new watch faces.
Embracing the force of the TAG Heuer Connected Watch, TAG Heuer aims to create a timekeeping piece — manifested not only through the design of the watch but also through the distinctive watch faces that have always been a hallmark of the Connected watches, highly regarded by many. With this new update, TAG Heuer is excited to further implement additional watch faces, such as limited editions and iconic symbols of the brand.
Breaking away from conventional norms, TAG Heuer is set to transcend boundaries by incorporating the spirit of the TAG Heuer Carrera, celebrated for its elegance and sportiness, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer, the ideal watch for diving and outdoor pursuits, and the iconic TAG Heuer Formula 1, the timepiece synonymous with racing, into the watch faces of the connected experience.
At the forefront of this integration are four distinct watch faces that made their debut during the LVMH Watch Week.
Carrera, a digital expression of elegance
The TAG Heuer Carrera has been celebrated for its 60th birthday during 2023, and these new watch faces capture the essence of its elegance with a primary teal green color scheme model and a tourbillon movement model. They echo the mechanical TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph and TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon launched and presented respectively at the same time for the 2024 LVMH Watch Week, and drawing inspiration from the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon, revealed at Watches and Wonders 2023, with the brand’s signature blue. Inspired by the Carrera Chronograph collection, TAG Heuer explores a unisex, vibrant aesthetic, offering an array of different dial colors – teal green, black, green gold, and blue for the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph, and teal green, blue, and black for the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon – while retaining the classic complication layout.
Solargraph, elevating the outdoor experience
TAG Heuer introduces as part of the TAG Heuer Aquaracer collection, the Solargraph watch face. The dynamic design adapts to ambient light intensity, offering a spectrum of colors from black to white that echo the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Solargraph technology. Users will witness a visual transformation based on environmental light, providing a personalized and immersive experience so that watch face will be highly visible in any circumstances.
TAG Heuer Formula 1, classic racing with a digital twist
Staying true to the iconic TAG Heuer Formula 1 design, TAG Heuer brings the spirit of racing to the Connected watch. The watch faces replicate the quartz chronograph counterparts with red, yellow, and green color schemes, offering a perfect blend of tradition and innovation that Formula 1 enthusiasts will undoubtedly appreciate. In a nod to the dynamic world of racing, all three traditional complications can be seamlessly transformed into digital counterparts, adding a high-tech layer to the racing experience on one’s wrist.
Blending watchmaking charm with smart functionality, each watch face captures the essence of traditional timepieces while offering modern conveniences. Users can seamlessly access real-time heart rate, live weather updates, sunset and sunrise information, battery status, moon phase details and many others. These integrated features make TAG Heuer’s watch faces an indispensable accessory for the any wearer.
As TAG Heuer continues to pioneer the fusion of mechanical and digital realms, the new watch faces are just the beginning. A promise of ongoing innovation accompanies the announcement, with plans to enlarge the launches on the Connected platform, providing users with a distinctive connected experience.
TAG Heuer’s latest release marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of luxury connected watches, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to innovation, versatility, and an integration of traditional watchmaking with modern technology.
